Camarillo Shooting: Police Arrest Suspect in Deadly Incident

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday night in Camarillo, authorities confirmed.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., officers from the Camarillo Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 2200 block of Ventura Boulevard. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders from the Ventura County Fire Department provided immediate medical assistance at the scene before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, the man later died from his injuries.

Following an investigation, law enforcement officials identified and apprehended a suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated event and have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. Police have also not disclosed the suspect’s identity at this time.
